Careers
Elizabeth Brown Pilates is seeking highly skilled instructors are who bright, articulate and motivated to continuously refresh and deepen their knowledge of their discipline(s). We look for individuals who have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. And are willing to learn from and share ideas with others while working in a nurturing, teamwork-oriented environment.

Pilates Instructor
Instructors are wanted to help teach private or group Pilates classes. Resume should include a minimum of 600 hours in a comprehensive Pilates training program or enrolled in a program of study, and be PMA Certified or willing to take the PMA exam within the year of employment.  A background in Anatomy and Physiology is desired.

Gyrotonic® Instructor
Instructors are wanted to teach Gyrotonic® classes. Applicant should have completed, at a minimum, the Level 1 Gyrotonic® teacher training program.  A background in Anatomy and Physiology is desired.

The right Pilates or Gyrotonic® trainer must have a strong ethical conviction and a willingness to "do whatever it takes" to ensure our clients are satisfied. Interships

Elizabeth Brown Pilates offers students the opportunity to observe, train and/or study for their Pilates Certification and work part time while continuing their education. Our studio is strongly committed to providing an optimal learning environment for an exceptional Pilates and Gyrotonic® experience. We strongly value excellence and work hard to provide an ideal learning opportunity for students. We feel that our studio offers a diverse Pilates and Gyrotonic® training program including a variety of different therapeutic and fitness oriented programs.  

Pilates and physical therapy have tremendous similarities. Pilates is often used in larger Physical Therapy Clinics as a rehabilitation tool.  In the 1990s, many rehabilitation practitioners were using the method in multiple fields of rehabilitation, including general orthopeadic, geriatric, chronic pain, neurologic rehabilitation, and more.  Many patients are transitioned out of rehabilitation into a fee based Pilates training program to continue to benefit from the reeducated body, according to research published by the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Clinics of North America.
